Date of visit - May 2013
Long awaits my eagerness of wanting to visit Sushi Samba has come to an end. I came here for my actual birthday meal and me and boyfriend were prepared to spend lots (it's not everyday or week or month we come here). We wanted to make it a special evening and the only available time they had was at 22:00pm. Pretty late for dinner, but I was fine with it.
Greeted by big bright neon lights, Sushi Samba is the new hype - the luxury of eating fine fusion Japanese/Brazilian food overlooking London on the 38th floor. We entered the lift which took us high up, I'm not going to lie, I was pretty scared as I don't like going on roller coasters, it gave me a bit of the adrenaline and made my heart feel light - the thoughts of the lift breaking down and zinging it straight back down - eeeeek!

The restaurant was dim with netted lighting that covered up the ceiling giving it a soft romantic look (image from Google).
Salmon sashimi salad
Plantain chips £4.50
Samba London.. crab, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, prawn, scallop, wagyu, avocado, tempura crunch, wasabi mayonaise, aji panca sushi rolls £16
EZO.. soy marinated salmon, asparagus, onion, chive, tempura crunch with aji panca £10.00
Chocolate banana cake.. maple butter, plantain chip with vanilla rum ice cream £10
Peach Tiradito.. Coconut lime sorbet with white peach tuile and five spices £12

Kuromitsu glazed pork belly wraps with palmito, orange and bibb lettuce - £12.00
This was super nice. I remember even eating the pork scratching and it tasted so fresh (unlike the ones you get in the packet) it had a nice crunch and was very light. The sauce gave it a nice kick, whilst the lettuce gave it the extra crunch, a good combination of great taste and textures in your mouth!

Assorted sashimi, snow crab £10, yellowtail £11 and sea bass £8 The sashimi tasted amazing especially the sea bass which was recommended when we asked which was best.

Wagyu beef grade 9 with hot stones, veg and sauces £49

Cook your own beef and veg, also add your own sauce while cooking!

It was amazing service especially the gentleman who served us, forgot his name but he's (half Indian, half Italian), real nice guy who recommended us what to order. The overall bill came up to £180, I forgot to take a pic of receipt. Despite, the pricey food, it def made our night and topped our evening to make it even more special. Will be back this Wednesday for the breakfast which I cannot wait to try! The view is a special occasion for anyone who wants to impress their date.
