Miyako ♥

Date of visit - May 2013

I visited Miyako back in May and after reading a few reviews we went decided to go after being super indecisive of where to eat. Not too far from Liverpool Street station the restaurant is inside Andaz hotel.  It's pretty dark from outside so it can easily be missed.

We were greeted by a very nice waitress directing us to our seats with the menu.

Not a wide selection of food, perfect for a small bight or light lunch/dinner.

I love the decor, love the wooden style walls, very simplistic yet modern.

Chef's selection of sushi - £17.00

5 selection of sashimi, the sashimi was very fresh and the sweet prawns was delicious and fresh - £18.00

Top left to right - Miyako roll, tempura roll, tempura hand roll and salmon skin roll
They were all very nice especially the miyako roll however, pretty standard for the rest.

The bill came to a whooping £80!

For an £80.00 dinner I wasn't yet full and still had room for more food. However, the price is expensive most probably because it's situated in a hotel. I probably won't come back again due to the price for the amount you get, however the food was fresh although not anything special. Also, the variety on the menu is limited therefore it has got low scores in that area. Conclusion? Tasty but pricey.
