Hawksmoor - Seven Dials ♥

Date of visit - February 2013

After wanting to go for a few good months after hearing and reading reviews that it was the best steak house in London, I was so excited to go! We had booked a few days beforehand as we thought it'd be mega busy for Valentine's Day. The only time they  had was at 17:30 which was pretty early for dinner time!

The restaurant is pretty hard to find, I use to work on the road opposite and lots of people would ask us for directions for this place. It is right opposite Pineapple dance studios. You can easily miss it as the decor outside is all black with the doors closed. The pictures are not excellent quality as I was using an old phone and the lighting is pretty dim!

Upon arrival they take your jacket/coat and leave it in the cloakroom which is already a glimpse of the service you may expect later on.

We got t-bone steak to share, it was one of the steaks from the board and once they're ordered then it's gone, great for sharing. For sides we got mushrooms, sweet potato, side salad and fries.

Overall, I absolutely love Hawksmoor and already thinking of visiting the Spitafields branch too. The steak was very nice, we got rare and during the time my stomach couldn't handle the rawness (eek, no need to explain further). But the sides, the steak and customer service was excellent, our waitress was nice and very enthusiastic, so we weren't hesitant to ask her any questions about the food. As the food was excellent, I have been recommending this place to everyone I know. The price is around £50pp not including alcohol, it is for if you have a special occasion as I wouldn't come here every month but, even though it is expensive, it is worth every penny. Depending on the branch, the menu varies slightly.
