Date of visit - May 2013
It's been a long while and I have neglected this site, I do find it hard to update things continuously because I always forget or simply and honestly, cannot be bothered. There's been so many places I have been to recently that I have not updated.

Recently my friend from Hong Kong came over to visit and as I was in charge of touring him around I wanted to take him to a good but not too "omg this place is so expensive" type of restaurant. And what restricts me the most is the food in Hong Kong is already amazingly delicious and super affordable. So... all of the oriental cuisine was off the list as I simply cannot take my friend to any oriental type of restaurants as it would not compare and be a total shame of living in this country.
My boyfriend suggested taking him to a burger joint.... Great idea as I would there are not many burger joints back in HK anyway! So which one was the question? I was tossing between Patty and Bun or Meat Liquor as they are both very Central. Meat Liquor it was as I have not visited there since January 16th to be precise... I only remember because it was my brother's birthday.
We got to the restaurant pretty late around 9:45pm - Tuesday night btw. There was no queue and I was surprised as it was pretty empty inside which was great! The time I went in January it was around 9pm and on a Wednesday and the place was packed with a rough 25minute wait outside and inside.
According to their menu they cook everything fresh so a 15minute wait after ordering unless the restaurant is packed!

The decor inside... pretty dark inside with loud decent music playing.

Bingo wings with blue cheese dip (12 Buffalo chicken wings in hot pepper sauce) £6.00
I do enjoy their chicken wings however, I can only ever eat around 2 each time, probably because I get so full... the chicken wings are slightly spicy so if you cannot handle your spice, don't order.

Phili cheese steak hot dog - Shredded rump steak with green peppers, onions and cheese £8.00
I actually initially wanted a burger and I actually thought it was a steak burger but never mind. The hotdog was nice but super messy to eat and the taste got a bit boring after each bite I had taken (not sure whether I was getting full or it wasn't nice enough). I would have preferred more cheese!

Chilli cheese fries - Chilli meat with cheese, onions, jalapeños and mustard £5.00
This dish was real good, although I don't recommend ordering this especially if you're not a big eater! Me and my friend (who is a guy) didn't even finish half of this. Next time I will opt for just fries.
My friend got the cheese and bacon burger which I forgot to take.
Food 3.5/5
Price 3.5/5
Atmosphere 4/5
Staff 3/5
I think overall the meal was great, our bill came up to a total of £31 which includes 2 soft drinks. But, after the meal I regretted not taking my friend to Patty and Bun which I prefer as the burger is more clean and the taste is amazing! After this meal I felt sluggish and felt like I had consumed a lot of grease (guilty). Compared to Patty and Bun their bun is really light and fluffy so you're full but not bloated! This is my 2nd visit here and I would still come again if I prefer a greasy fix. Wicked thing about this place is that it opens till 2am on the weekend!
The food is above standard and same as the first visit (not better nor worse) and at £15 per person you can't complain. I love the atmosphere of this place, a great place to grab a burger and have drinks with your friends at a trendy burger place.
