I was contemplating where to take my friend for his last meal in the UK, he was running low on funds and I planned to go Nandos! However, my gut was telling me to go Flat Iron. I previously went in March however, the queue was over 2 hours long so didn't bother wait. So this time I was hoping it would be less busier. We waited till after 9:30pm and woohoo no queue. Although we did wait 15-20 minutes for a table. We were seated at the bar, we didn't have any drinks but were getting drawn to the doughnuts, altho at £2.50 each, we passed on that.

Complimentary salted popcorn to begin with

The roasted aubergine £3.50

Steak with side salad

Cooked at medium rare, it does look more pink but this was taken with flash.
The steak was very nice and I am very tempted to go very soon. The steak was cooked my perfection and the value is amazing, no wonder it's that popular. I'm not a big fan of aubergine, but the tomato and basil took away that bitter taste - I only ordered this dish as the people next to me commented to the waiter how excellent the aubergine was, ha! My friend from HK throughly enjoyed the food and was surprised there were £10 steaks in London.
The staff were brilliant and really down to earth, our waiter asked us how we found the food. As we got talking I told him I came really late so I could be seated quick but, he mentioned even on some days after 9pm they are really busy with queues.
Food 5/5
Price 5/5
Atmosphere 3./5
Staff 4.5/5
I didn't like how the seating was laid out. The table is shared by other customers as it runs across, I was in between two other couples and I could hear their whole conversation. I think it should be a more spaced a part... however, they left pretty quick which was okay.
